How To Manually Configure Your MAC OS8 to use NetAway

Visit the NetAway Access Number Finder page, which will help you select an access number for the location you are going to use NetAway.

The access number finder will also let you know if there is any special formating you need to input into your device. (The access number finder can email you your selected access number(s).)



There are two places that you need to make dialup connection settings:
-Control Panels-TCP/IP and -Control Panels-PPP.

The first step is to make your TCP/IP settings by clicking on the in the top menu bar and then going to Control Panels and click on TCP/IP.
With the TCP/IP dialog box open, enter the following information for PPP dialup connections with the GRIC nationwide dialup network:

Connect via: PPP
Configure: Using PPP Server
Name server addr:
(leave blank if not needed)
Search domain: gric.com
The next to the last step is to make your PPP settings by clicking on the in the top menu bar and then going to Control Panels and click on PPP.
With the PPP dialog box open, enter the following information for PPP dialup connections with the GRIC nationwide dialup network:

Registered User: CHECKED

Name: The access number finder will also let you know if there is any special formating you need to input into your device. The access number finder can email you the selected access numbers
The LoginID is the username you selected when you signed up for NetAway.

Password: your NetAway password

Save password:

Number: please insert the local access number from the Access Number Finder page specific to the country you are in. NOTE if you need to dial a number to get an outside line, you will need to enter this before the access number e.g. if you need to dial a 9 you should enter "9," in front of the number.
